What to expect from your consultation
This is an optional, free service, to allow you to ask any questions you may have about nutritional therapy. You may also like to discuss how nutritional therapy can help with your specific symptoms or goals and determine whether nutritional therapy is the right path for you.
If you chose to go for the Health MOT, or any of the packages, shortly after you’ve booked your consultation you will receive a nutrition questionnaire and a three-day diet diary to complete and return to me before your consultation. This allows me to use the time we have together in the consultation as effectively as possible, it also helps me gain an understanding of your diet and lifestyle before we meet.
Your initial consultation will be a 1-1 consultation with myself and will last for approximately 90 minutes.
(This can be done either face to face or via zoom).
During our initial consultation we will cover the following areas:
Symptoms/ health concerns
Family medical history & personal health history
Medication & Supplements
Physical activity and lifestyle
After this information is gathered, we will work together to create a personalised nutrition plan that supports your health goals, lifestyle, and diet preferences. This may include supplement recommendations, recipes and guidance on specific nutrients or lifestyle modifications. If appropriate I may also recommend additional testing and if I feel necessary, I may refer you to speak with your GP to investigate your symptoms further.
Your plan, along with any supporting documents will be emailed across to you shortly after your consultation.
Follow-up consultations will typically take place 4 weeks after your initial consultation.
During this consultation we will review your progress, discuss any challenges, new symptoms or goals. This allows me to provide effective support and guidance to ensure you stay focussed on your plan and make any necessary modifications to ensure you stay on track to achieve your health goals.
Depending on the plan you choose, you may also have a support call in between your initial and follow-up consultation. If you don’t have a support call booked in, you may still contact me via email and I will respond to all queries within 48 hours. If your questions require a long explanation or more time, I will contact you to book in a support call.
If you decide to go for the Starter, Signature or Comprehensive packages, you will also get a 15 – 20-minute support call between your 1-1 consultations. These calls are designed to help keep you motivated with the plan, answer any questions and make any necessary modifications.
